We tried the 70-200mm, even at 135mm we didn't like the composition, also at F8 we were cutting out all the ambient light so we decided to stick with our original plan 70mm F2.8
we added a strobe with a stripbox behind him to add some rim light and a strobe with an umbrella aimed at the model to fill in the shadows in his face and his body. we ad to gobo the umbrella as it was spilling too much on the drill press, we also added a silver reflector below the strobe to kick up a little more light on his pants.

2. Although the 70mm doesn't give me the same amount of compression as a 70-200mm but it gave us the composition we wanted.
